Since I started hosting group travel in 2023 so many people asked for a cruise and in 2024 I decided to give it a go and to organize the Chasing Oz Good Vibes Cruise.
After a bit of research and discovering that Virgin Voyages was a kid-free experience I decided to give it a go. In the past I’ve vacationed and actually attended a book signing on a cruise, just on different lines. Princess and Royal Caribbean to be exact.
That being said, I don’t think I can actually cruise on a different line after my experience on Virgin Voyages. Also, before I get started I’d like to note this is *NOT* sponsored content. These are my experiences as a paying customer on Virgin. Nor am I being compensated for this review.
As someone hosting travel groups all over the world I’m using my platform to share my experiences.
What I loved the most? The hammock!!
Every cabin with a balcony onboard has the signature Virgin Voyages hammock. I wish I could have taken it home with me. Not me trying to find someplace I can hang a hammock now.
For a cruise room I was impressed with the space management. Also double points for being hella close to the elevators too.
But we really want to talk about the food and entertainment because both were unlike any other cruise line I have ever been on. It 100% reaffirmed my choice on opting for Virgin Voyages to host my Good Vibes Cruise annually!
In fact, most of the people traveling with our group loved it so much they purchased their placeholder for their next cruise while we were sailing. (Gives you two years to use it, $150 holds your spot with all the fun promos)
The Food & Entertainment tho… holy shit!
Let’s start with Entertainment!
Instead of a Cruise director, there is the Happenings Cast which is a group of entertainment hosts that specialize in different categories. Whether it is games or trivia, or my personal favorite… The Diva!
On our ship we had the stunning Cordelia Facade! Who also just happened to host my favorite event we attended on the ship… Bingo with the Diva!
And boy were those prize pools WORTH it!
Alongside all the ship activities, the parties are WILD! Now I can see exactly why these ships are 18+! HAH!
Just a little video I put together the night of the Scarlet Party which was the coolest thing we did the whole cruise. I mean, minus whipping ATV’s on Grand Turk.
Oh and an honorable mention for my Scarlet Night party outfit!
Oh and from our ATV adventures:

Something else you are going to find on a Virgin Voyages ship that you aren’t getting on any other ships?
A tattoo shop!
Squid Ink is staffed by rotating artists from all over the globe. Several people in our group got tattooed. I told myself I wasn’t going to get one because I just had so much work done in the last 2 months but I lied.
I mean I really tried to be an adult but… I just so happened to roll the dice and get the very last tattoo of the night… on the last night of the cruise.
A little nod to my daughter’s favorite Taylor Swift song, Seven.
“I love you to the moon and to Saturn”
Some of the amazing tattoos the group got include these:

Shout out to Mick who did my tattoo! Collecting some artwork from an artist originally from Mexico. Now add that to my Iceland, Ireland, and Italy artists as well. Killing it!
Now onto what everyone wants to hear about the most…
The Food!

When it comes to dining… Virgin Voyages knocks it out of the park. Full on including fine dining on the ship with Michelin star chefs.
Now, before we get into the food, I want to share that my diet isn’t fancy by any means. It can usually only be described as “unsupervised toddler at a birthday party” so I definitely broadened my horizons on this adventure!
All of the specialty restaurants are included with your booking. Unlike on some ships, you have to pay a premium for the sit down specialty dining. While there are some items you can upgrade to like Wagyu at Gunbae, they are few and far between options.
The different dining options include Extra Virgin, an Italian inspired menu.
The Wake, a steakhouse open for brunch daily as well (I also highly recommend snagging a reservation a head of time when dining opens because it DOES fill quick!)
Pink Agave, a Mexican menu with amazing tapas options served family style except for your entrée. They also hosted our group dinner for us!
Razzle Dazzle also open for Brunch originally started as a Vegan option, and since has expanded the menu. I enjoyed some amazing fried chicken for dinner one evening!
I am sure I am forgetting something… alas I didn’t make it there because I didn’t understand how cut throat the dining reservations were leading up to actually getting on the ship. When they say snag your reservations in advance they totally mean it!
Of course you also have your Galley dining at the fittingly named “Galley” which operates 24 hours a day.

Breakfast is offered 24/7 as well as the bread/pastry counter.
There is also a Burger Bar that is an additional 24/7 option.
Various flavors and options are available in the Galley throughout the day, including Ramen, Tacos, Deli sandwiches, Salads, etc. during various times of the day. Additionally every evening the Galley features a different dinner option.
That in addition to the Pizza shop that is open until 2am, the Social which has popcorn, candy, hot dogs, and all kinds of munchie goodies.
Every corner of the ship has food or drinks.
We’re doing it again in 2026 for those who want to join!

I know a lot of people who've gone on Virgin and absolutely LOVE IT Our oldest and daughter in love have gone twice, they were going to go on a Long one where you could go in sections or do the entire weeks long sailing but the section they wanted was closed due to Russia invading Ukraine and that part was cancelled. They want us to cruise with them on Virgin and hoping we can make it a family cruise with our other "kids" It's not just a "20/30 year old vibe" It's geared toward the 40-60's fun group who doesn't get "offended" super easy by "drag queens" Adult Risque' humore. The dinner Comedy show I heard was awesome and our daughters did the Karaokee room rental and had a blast.
I’m saving this so I can go on the next one. Yippee!!!!!!!!!
