Ron DeSantis and the Curious Case of Government Overreach

I’m sick of this motherfucker.

No, seriously. Since he has become Governor of the state of Florida, he has slowly driven it straight into a dumpster. Now the taxpayers are once again watching him piss away tax dollars on his election crusade.

You see, Rhonda DeShitStain knows the Republicans are about to absolutely get shellacked on this ballot in Florida. They have pulled out every last dirty trick to confuse Florida voters… hell it even confused my own father over the Amendment 4 language.

He’s gone out of his way to use the Governors office to intimidate television stations from running Amendment 4 ads, used taxpayer funds to fund misinformation ads against Amendment 4, and worse of all… the wildly unpopular 6 week abortion ban we currently have in place, he signed into law in the dead of night because he didn’t want the press that goes along with it.

During the past few years, mostly post-COVID… everyone in America that doesn’t live in Florida somehow thinks Ron DeSantis is some kind of beacon of constitutional freedom when the exact opposite is the truth when you look at his record on paper. Legislation he has signed into law, his woke war boogie man causes nobody gives a shit about, and of course rolling back basic healthcare for millions of women across the state.

In fact, the direct impacts of the abortion ban in Florida won’t be seen for a while. Only going into effect this May, the impact of maternal and infant mortality like we have seen in places like Texas. On top of that epidemic, there is also the rise of pregnancies as the result of rape.

In fact in the months after the Dobbs ruling infant mortality across America increased by 10%. That is a huge jump.

I digress, back to DeShitFace.

We now have the leader of our state government using our tax dollars on dozens of fronts to defeat a POPULAR amendment we know is going to pass. Instead of letting the citizens decide the laws that impact our daily lives, he is pulling a page out of the fascist playbook by using widespread state funded propaganda to pass misinformation.

This isn’t freedom.

This is just more republican government overreach here in Florida. All while citizens are losing everything in climate tragedies… are begging the governor to fix the infrastructure, the funding for repairs on city levels, and reforming the homeowner insurance crisis. Unfortunately for every one of us living in Florida… that isn’t a priority for Lame Duck Ronald now.

January of 2027 cannot come soon enough.

I just fear what other kind of incompetent moron the Republicans are going to put forward next.
