100% Fed Up with Billionaire Censored Platforms?
What an insane turn of events this has become. HA! In the wake of the election it seems like millions upon millions of people are over Twitter and other platforms like threads, which actively suppressed political content during the election. While also pushing right wing propaganda and misinformation. Twitter’s AI even labeling Elon himself as one of the most prolific sharers of misinformation on the platform in a major self own.
To say that people are disenchanted by the options before us is probably the understatement of the year. The day after the 2024 election more than 115,000 users deactivated their accounts on Twitter. Adding to the already mass exodus which started upon Musk purchasing the platform and immediately driving it off a cliff.
It took me a couple months after his purchase to realize it wasn’t someplace I wanted to be anymore. This was also after losing my main Twitter account years prior. I gave up on reconnecting with those I left behind on that site.
Over on BlueSky which is basically like Twitter before the ads & nazis. It reminds me very much of 2016 new Resistance vibes. Like, all of the people who connected to fight back against Trump last go round is there and ready to go. Faces I haven’t seen in years I’ve been able to reconnect with!
The best part is people are actually seeing the content I post unlike on other platforms.
Yesterday it was reported that platform use is up 500% in one day.
The best part is… there have been a couple people who literally nobody fucking likes… like Andrew Tate, and Marjorie Taylor Greene who joined and were immediately suspended. LOL!
I’m tellin’ ya it is just the place to be currently. I mean, at least I am really enjoying it myself!
