A Recap of Iceland - 2025
Two trips, two groups, two different experiences a year apart
Who missed me last week when I was hosting my first official group trip of the year? Never fails though, it is like clockwork. I leave the country, shit pops off… this time Tik Tok actually went away for like 12 hours.
I honestly did not see that actually happening. After all the back and forth we were watching including the government acknowledging the economic impacts of the ban it was silly and 100% performative. It took place in the manner that it did because they needed to stroke Trump’s ego like the fucking toddler that he is.
The billionaire class has figured out how to play him for a fool and that is exactly what they are doing. The Swamp has been packed to the brim with men beholden to billion dollar government subsidies while they laugh at you and your desire for a once affordable life.
Enough of that nonsense, onto the real reason for the post today. I really do try to keep my trip stuff to a minimum but this group and trip was special! I know I say that about every group when I come home though.
Honestly, I just think it is the community of people I have put together in my space online that really reflects when we gather together. Because not everyone who ends up traveling with me… follows me online.
I literally shit you not.
There were actually like 3 women that came as friends of someone who either traveled with me in the past, or co-workers. Heck one of my OG followers brought her lifelong best friend. And I’ve literally adopted every last one of them.
Can you imagine showing up for a group vacation and having no idea who I am and BAM! WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE BABY! LOL! And damn they could all hang! Including out one lone guy. Michael was the real MVP!
I have a special love for Iceland and the people who live there. It is just a magical land of mythical creatures and lore. Hot springs that will literally give you life, and three seasons in a single day! I love it so much it is one of my favorite places to host which is why I am going back in March again (killer winter trip) and again in August for my first summertime trip!
There are 5 spots open for my March trip, as in March 14-20th, 2025. All bookings close on 01/22 at midnight.
If March is a little too soon for you to get it together (btw, Icelandic Air is having killer sales currently) may I suggest August 2025?
Last but probably one of the most important moments of my trip was the last full day I spent in Reykjavik.
I really do enjoy getting tattoos around the world. Different places, different artists, and experiences all reflecting something special from that adventure. I’ve been tattooed in Ireland, Italy, and now Iceland.
This artist though, I am definitely going to see every time I go back. She is absolutely amazing. I fell in love with her work before I even contacted her and when the shop matched us based on the idea of what I wanted I knew it was meant to be. And I am totally debating asking her if she wants to start a sleeve on my other arm. Because I am literally insane.
The finished product! I legit couldn't love it anymore than I do.
